A video clip taken for me of the opening of the Schirmer Exhibition yesterday by my good friend Stephan Everling.
To be included in this exhibition is a great privilege for me as it features some of my paintings alongside work by the fabulous Maf Raderscheidt, and other contemporary German artists, and of course the great 19th c painter himself – Johann Wilhelm Schirmer.
This year the Cornwall Open Studios runs through the Bank Holiday, from 29th May – June 6th.
I shall be open from 11.00am – 5.00pm but if you want to view any of my work outside of these times please contact me and I will do my best to see you.
The first painting to sell was my most recent work, “Fireworks Over Falmouth Bay” (2010) 120 x 50 cms. It was so new it hadn’t even finished drying….
As last year home made cakes are available for visitors, along with tea, coffee and cold drinks, at no cost of course.
May 29th – June 6th – A selection of Chris Billington’s artwork will be available to view during this year’s Cornwall Open Studios at his studio The Garden Studio, Queen Anne Gardens in Falmouth.
The Press page has been updated with the latest mention from The West Briton. Thank you once again West Briton.
The Gallery page has been updated with new work, Moonlight over Men-an-tol added, and works no longer available for sale removed.
The Shirmer Project paintings have been crated up and await collection by FedEx in the next few days and are due to be exhibited in Germany from 30th May.
