Yesterday I spent a wonderful hour or so in Zafiros, one of Cornwall’s best contemporary cafes, and being the permanent home of some of my paintings, it has a great collection of modern art, situated at 3 New Bridge Street in the heart of Truro.

My work has been continuously on display in Zafiros for 4 years and during this time I have replaced paintings as and when one has sold, but as the premises have recently been redecorated I thought it was a good time to exhibit some new work and I changed over most of the paintings yesterday.

I am delighted that my work is returning to Spain and that ‘Carnival Fizz’ will be going on exhibition in Barcelona at Galería Bernet, along with several other of my paintings.  

‘Carnival Fizz’, which was painted in 2009, is quite familiar to many being the painting that I have used as a background image in the past, and indeed is the image that .Galería Bernet are using on their website.  This will be a two gallery exhibition, taking place in Barcelona and then Reus, which is being staged by Galería Bernet Bernet and La Llotja de Reus.

Almost exactly three years to the day since it was last seen in public this is the first time that the painting will have been exhibited since it was on show in my two man exhibition alongside Sir Peter Blake at The Bristol Gallery in April 2010.

‘Las Fallas’ and ‘Viva Valencia’ will also be returning to Spain for the show in Barcelona, they were last exhibited in Valencia for Christmas throughout December 2010 and January 2011.

Also on exhibition will be ‘Golden Arc’ which was painted for my ‘2012, Signs, Secrets & Symbols’ exhibition and which was exhibited in July 2012 in Bournemouth.

There is a Private View on April 12 at Barcelona’s Galería Bernet where the exhibition will continue until the 17th April  and then moves on to La Llotja de Reus  for a further two weeks from April 17 – April 30.
