I am delighted to have been asked to contribute work for the forthcoming SpectrumArt 2009 Charity Auction.
I am among scores of artistic luminaries, including Damien Hirst, Paul McGowan and Rankin, who have pledged work to SpectrumArt 2009 to support the Spectrum charity in helping people with various forms of autism and Asperger’s syndrome find ways of communicating their thoughts and feelings through art.
In keeping with the theme of the auction, Communication, I have donated a diptych, “Duet” painted in alkyd on two ply panels – each a slight shade different colour of blue, mounted and framed.
The SpectrumArt auction is scheduled for October 31 at the Headland Hotel in Newquay and artwork will be on show beforehand at The Driftwood Gallery in Truro from Monday 26th October until Friday 30th October
All money raised from my painting and all the other artwork sold will go directly into Spectrum’s ongoing work with artists.
