As requested – the short clip of me on The Fourth Plinth, the 60 minutes have been condensed into 6.
I am very proud to have been invited to display my work at Zafiros, the finest cafe/bar in Truro, recognised countywide for it’s flair and ambience. It is a wonderful contemporary space, located at 3 New Bridge Street, in the heart of the city and my paintings are now on permanent exhibition where they fully compliment the superb surroundings.
My newest painting, ‘Zafiros’ – pictured below, has recently been completed to mark the occassion, also pictured are a few of the other works in Zafiros, including Love etc. and Gyllyngvase (viii)

I am delighted to announce a complete redesign of my website. The work has been carried out by Mat Harding of Harding Web Design, Penzance, and I am sure that regular visitors will be equally delighted with the crisp new look, and in particular the easier to navigate gallery.
Mat has been working on the project for many weeks and he has completed the work perfectly and exactly in line with my vision.
Thank you Mat.
There is much activity at present. Currently working on several new paintings, including the new Gyllyngvase, which will be Gyllyngvase (X) and further details will follow soon.
Regarding the SpectrumArt Auction, apologies to those who tried to register to bid but couldn’t, despite several attempts. Apparently the software used by Spectrum was faulty and as a consequence only just over 40 people managed to register and bid on 29 items, which was pretty abysmal considering the auction was running for many weeks. It didn’t help that a day before the auction ended the software somehow added 30 days extra to the bidding time, again i am sorry for the confusion that this caused, bad news for the charity but the upside is that some people managed to get themselves a bargain.
I am thrilled that Cornwall Life have included a 2 page feature on me in the November Issue, If you cannot obtain a copy, simply click on the cover image below to start reading the digital edition now, I am on pages 50/51.

I am extremely proud to be one of the contributing artists to this event which marks the 90th Anniversary of the tragic collapse of the man engine at Levant Mine which occurred on the afternoon of Monday 20th October 1919. A total of 31 local men lost their lives, and many more were left injured and traumatised by the terrible sequence of events that took place. The toll on the community in Penwith was immense.
The community art project – 90 Years ~ 90 Artists – is also coming to a climax with the exhibition of the completed 90 canvases. Entrance to the exhibition is free, and details are shown in the poster above.
On Friday 30th October, at the close of the exhibition there will be a grand draw with the 90 canvases forming 90 individaul prizes. This will take place between 4.00-6.00pm. Tickets are being sold throughout August, September and October priced £1 each in books of 5 tickets. To obtain tickets please contact either the St Just & District Trust (secretary 07917 196069) or The National Trust Levant ( 01736 786156).

As mentioned in my previous news post last month, and in keeping with the theme of the auction, Communication, I have donated a diptych, “Duet” to the SpectrumArt auction.
It is painted in alkyd on two ply panels – each a slight shade different colour of blue, mounted and framed.

I am delighted to have been asked to contribute work for the forthcoming SpectrumArt 2009 Charity Auction.
I am among scores of artistic luminaries, including Damien Hirst, Paul McGowan and Rankin, who have pledged work to SpectrumArt 2009 to support the Spectrum charity in helping people with various forms of autism and Asperger’s syndrome find ways of communicating their thoughts and feelings through art.

The SpectrumArt auction is scheduled for October 31 at the Headland Hotel in Newquay and artwork will be on show beforehand at The Driftwood Gallery in Truro from Monday 26th October until Friday 30th October
All money raised from my painting and all the other artwork sold will go directly into Spectrum’s ongoing work with artists.
